
Dr. Yuhui Li is an accomplished pianist who has captivated audiences both in America and China, both as a soloist and chamber musician. Her talents have been showcased at prestigious events such as the New Paltz International Piano Festival, Cincinnati International Music Festival, and Colorado International Music Festival. Notably, Yuhui clinched the title of ASU Concerto Competition Winner in 2018, a testament to her exceptional musical prowess.
Yuhui’s musical journey is adorned with numerous accolades, including noteworthy placements in renowned piano competitions. She secured Second Place in the King Peak International Competition (2021) and received acclaim at The America Prize (2021), as well as the Colorado International Piano Competition (2013) in the USA. In her homeland of China, she clinched Second Prize in the Xi Wang National Piano Competition (2013) and First Prize in the Yangze River National Piano Competition (2012). Yuhui’s expertise has also been sought after as an adjudicator in various piano competitions and exams, including the United States Open Music Competition and Arizona Study Program.
Her academic journey is equally impressive. Yuhui earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in piano performance from the Renmin University of China, where she was honored with an outstanding graduation award under the guidance of Dr. Fang Zhang. She furthered her studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, obtaining a Master of Music degree while studying under the mentorship of Prof. Yoshikazu Nagai. Dr. Li culminated her academic pursuits with a doctoral degree (DMA) in Piano Performance from Arizona State University, where she was under the tutelage of Prof. Robert Hamilton.
